Manufacturer's Shipments, Inventories, and Orders

September 2013 new orders for manufactured goods increased 1.7 percent, to $490.8 billion. This followed a 0.1 percent decrease in August. September shipments rose 0.1 percent, to $488.9 billion. This followed a 0.2 percent August increase. September unfilled orders rose 0.9 percent, to $1,041.7 billion. This followed a 0.1 percent August increase. And September inventories rose 0.4 percent, to $634.0 billion. This followed a 0.2 percent August increase.

The 10th U.S.-China JCCT Statistics Working Group Meeting

Washington, D.C. - November 19, 2013, Department of Commerce Chief Economist Sue Helper and Deputy Assistant US Trade Representative William Shpiece meet with Deputy General Director, Department for General Economic Affairs, Ministry of Commerce of China Song Lihong.
