Construction spending was $846.2 billion in February 2010, 1.3% below January 2010 and 12.8% below February 2009. The January 2010 level was revised down 3.0% from last month’s release.
Construction spending was $884.1 billion in January 2010, 0.6% below December 2009 and 9.3% below January 2009. Construction spending is 27.1% below its March 2006 peak.
Construction spending was $902.5 billion in December 2009, 1.2 percent below November 2009 and 9.9 percent below December 2008. Construction spending in all of 2009 was 12.4 percent below 2008.
Construction spending was $900.1 billion in November 2009, 0.6 percent below October’s estimate and 13.2 percent below November 2008.
Construction spending fell 1.0% to $805.2 billion in July 2010, down from a revised June value of $813.1 billion. The July 2010 figure is 10.7% below the July 2009 estimate.
