New orders for manufactured durable goods in April 2010 increased 2.9% from March, to $193.9 billion. Excluding transportation, new orders decreased 1.0% from the prior month, to $143.2 billion. Total shipments rose 1.4% to $196 billion.
New orders for manufactured durable goods in March 2010 decreased 1.3% from February, to $176.7 billion. Excluding transportation, new orders increased 2.8% from the prior month, to $136.5 billion. Total shipments rose 1.2%, to $182.2 billion.
New orders for manufactured durable goods in January 2010 increased 3.0% from December 2009, to $175.7 billion. Excluding transportation, new orders decreased 0.6% from the prior month, to $131.0 billion. Total shipments decreased 0.2% to $180.7 billion.
New orders for manufactured goods in December 2009 increased 0.3% to $167.9 billion from November. For 2009 as a whole, new orders for manufactured goods declined 20.2%. Excluding transportation, new orders rose 0.9% in December 2009 to $130.6 billion from November. Total shipments increased 2.9% in December.
