New orders for manufactured durable goods in December increased 3.0 percent, to $214.5 billion. Excluding transportation, new orders rose 2.1 percent. Overall shipments increased 2.1 percent, while capital goods shipments rose 3.2 percent. Unfilled orders were up 1.5 percent and inventories increased 0.3 percent.
New orders for manufactured durable goods in November increased 3.8 percent, to $207 billion. Excluding transportation, new orders rose 0.3 percent. Overall shipments fell 0.4 percent, while capital goods shipments decreased 2.1 percent. Unfilled orders rose 1.3 percent and inventories increased 0.6 percent.
New orders for manufactured durable goods in October decreased 0.7 percent, to $197.7 billion. Excluding transportation, new orders rose 0.7 percent. Overall shipments rose 1.3 percent, while capital goods shipments decreased 0.6 percent. Unfilled orders rose 0.2 percent and inventories increased 0.5 percent.
New orders for manufactured durable goods in September decreased 0.8 percent, to $200.3 billion. Excluding transportation, new orders rose 1.7 percent. Overall shipments fell 0.7 percent, and capital goods shipments decreased 1.0 percent. Unfilled orders rose 0.8 percent and inventories increased 0.1 percent.
New orders for manufactured durable goods in August decreased 0.1 percent, to $201.8 billion. Excluding transportation new orders also declined 0.1 percent. Overall shipments fell 0.2 percent, while capital goods shipments increased 2.7 percent. Unfilled orders and inventories both rose 0.9 percent.
