New orders for manufactured goods decreased 1.4% in May to $413.2 billion following eight consecutive monthly increases. Shipments declined 1.3% to $416.8 billion. Unfilled orders rose 0.2% to $802.8 billion, and inventories declined 0.4% to $520.4 billion.
