Advance monthly sales for retail and food services in September 2010 were $367.7 billion, an increase of 0.6% from August and an increase of 7.3% from September 2009. Excluding automobiles, retail and food services sales were $304.3 billion, up 0.4% from the prior month and up 5.4% from the September 2009 level.
